There are many awesome covers of this song (I'm looking at you, SR-71), but Paul's original is so damn good.

A belated Happy Birthday to Macca - 73 on June 18th!!! This track was written by Paul & Elvis Costello, from the "Flowers In The Dirt" (1989) album.
We selected this track as we love its Japanese connection. Paul's had some "interesting" times in Japan!!! In 1980 he was busted for marijuana possession and spent 9 days in prison. Last year he spent several days in a Tokyo hospital and had to cancel all his tour dates.
We're pleased to say Paul made a happy return to Japan a couple of months ago with no mishaps!! He played the famous Budokan venue, 49 years after The Fabs played there!! Fashion note: Paul & Nancy arrive in Japan in matching Kimonos!!! :-)

The simplest things set me off again…
Some days you pick a song and some days the songs pick you. In the summer of '89 I had a job packing vinyl 45s into boxes in an enormous warehouse in North London. This song was a hit at the time and played constantly. I'm not sure if it was the song or the job that eventually broke my spirit, but I lasted two weeks.
Can’t find a song called My Droopy Face, woke up with Bell’s Palsy last Sunday. I'll be a pretty boy soon.
