“I'm watching this odd little documentary film called "Paul Williams: Still Alive." For about 20 minutes it's very standard film but then it becomes about how the filmmaker, who is somewhat of a stalker and terrible at his job, is trying to do a standard mawkish documentary but Williams isn't having any of it. It's a look at the relationship between a lousy documentary maker and a clear eyed, self critical, happy man who dropped out of fame after he recovered from alcoholism and doesn't seem to regret it at all. A really good film for the music fan.”
