Black (unplugged 1992) by Pearl Jam
“#ABCsOfMe G is for Grunge. I remember the first time I saw "Smells like teen spirit" on MTV. It was the American top twenty, on a Sunday, and it sounded completely new.. like nothing else. A couple of weeks later my classmate Christian came to school with the "Nevermind" album in his hand. He told us all that we had to listen to it. It was the greatest album EVER! And from then on the grunge thing really took off. The fashion and the attitude. I didn't buy the album at that time (I bought it a couple of years later). I got on the grunge train at the Pearl Jam stop, when I bought the "Ten" album. Loved it. Looking back I think it was pretty great growing up in the Grunge era was pretty great... not as shallow as it seems to be for the kids today. Or perhaps I'm just getting old.”
