I'd just like to sit at his feet while he strums and sings.

I seem to recognize your face... haunting, familiar... yet i can't seem to place it...

An ode to the ancient hills of Eastern Kentucky, land of my birth and home of memories good, bad, and strange. For all those who remain there, and those who have left to seek their fortunes in faraway lands. In dreams I often return there - and it remembers my face after after all these years.

Released 20 years ago today & still as amazing as the first time I listened to it. This was one of the albums that defined my sophmore year of college, if not well beyond. It's one of the last albums that I remember almost everyone I knew rushing out to buy the week of it's release. This song, in particular, was the subject of many late night impromptu sing-a-longs walking through campus on the way home after a night of collegiate fun with my friends. So many great memories were soundtracked by these songs.
