“This week’s fab dementia track comes from Wendy, who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's in July of this year. Wendy chose the song ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams and said ‘This song was released at the time I was going through tests which resulted in my diagnosis of Alzheimer's. I play it every time life gets a tad tough as it's a great pick me up.’”

Opening ceremony tunes 🎶

It's been two weeks since The Academy Awards left a bad taste in my mouth. I know that many discount them, but it still hurts when your favorites don't come through. Case in point, "Let it Go" beating "Happy" for Best Original Song. Nothing against Idina Menzel, but the former song just hurts to listen to. It's a vicious loop that won't leave my daily presence. Listening to it and the uninspired nature of it all is just… a bitter, bitter taste. Meanwhile, "Happy" is it's title. Focusing on the positive, every time I hear this song, I sing along. Yes, I suck at singing pop tunes, but defy me my chance and so help me there will be consequences. It comes into my life and just says, "There, there. Whatever is getting you down, just sing it off with class and rhythm."
