And so, Grandmaster TIMJ ( @mikelowe as you may know Him) contacted me to say 'Oi Schizo, I hear a #progweekend has been proposed. Get in there son' or something similar. I'm an unabashed proggist. So it is with no hesitation whatsoever, that I repair to the album that started it all for me, back in my 14th year, when a certain Mr Alan McCulloch said, "you'll like this". He wasn't wrong. I was mesmerised. I've listened to a helluva lot of music over the 40 years since experiencing The Floyd. I've moved from prog to other genres, as my moods & experiences changed. Mined a few gems over that time. But at heart, I've always been a Floydian. Bit like your first love. Easily recalled, brings a smile to your face and ultimately, remains an experience that will never be repeated. Sure, sure, you fall in love again, but that first time...well...Whenever I hear this track, I'm back to my proggy schooldays & more recently, think of old Rick Wright. Departed yes, but left us this thing of beauty.   51
