“I will always contend that the best and only representation of Pixies that anyone needs is the song "Vamos". You can have your "Where Is My Mind?", "Debaser", and "Here Comes Your Man". Those are all great tracks, but there's only one that encapsulates what was so immediately terrifying yet addictive about Pixies when they first came on the scene, and that's this song. There's lots of great versions - I'm especially fond of the live one from the B-sides collection, but I finally picked up this mini-album on vinyl today, so it seemed like the relevant choice.”
