“I go wild because it doesn't make sense
For me to cry out in my own defense
And wild because I would do anything
To tear you off your precious fence
(So this is what it's like, living in limbo --
First I'm high, then I'm solo...)”

Things I love about this song: It starts off as a slightly dancey rock track about revenge, then at 5 minutes in it just goes off the rails, ending in a cacophony of noise. The 'la la da di da da' call back to her previous album, "Hello". The House of Leaves references. The fact that it's a 9 minute schizophrenic song by someone typically labeled a 'singer/songwritter'.
...from the strange, flawed, indulgent album that also happens to also be a 90s masterpiece. Each year I find myself falling back into the #houseofleaves — it's such a shame Poe could never release another album.
