I LOVE real drumming, I really do. This is one of the best right now. Polar Bear is a great and innovative band, and Seb Rochford is an enigma. He's got massive hair and comes from a massive family in Aberdeen, he won the BBC Jazz Award for best newcomer in 2004 and was nominated for best musician in 2006 and for the Mercury Prize in 2005 and 2007. He played drums on Adele's "19", and has played with Herbie Hancock, Corinne Bailey Rae, David Byrne, Brian Eno, Gwyneth Herbert, Mikill Pane, Babyshambles and more. He was once reported to be one of the top ten most influential people. Apart from his drumming, I like that he doesn't seek fame and fortune, but the freedom to be eccentric and avant garde.
