Fifteen years after the patriarch of The Staple Singers died, his daughter Mavis Staples and Jeff Tweedy completed his final recordings. This is the opening track on an album that reminds us all of the righteous spirit he brought to gospel, blues and soul music.
"Now my bad times are better than my good times used to be" It's another great track from this month's Uncut CD keeping me going this week.
