Just as the lyrics go "Trumpets come, trumpets go; It's amazing what gets left out in the snow", I found this album to be full of magnificent simple pop gems like this one.
Classic Paddy, and no-one even knows if it is ever going to get a proper release or stay locked away in the vaults....

I'm enjoying Prefab Sprout's Crimson/Red at least as much as I've enjoyed any of their previous albums – in particular, the insoluble rapture of this song.

Joyful and full of marvellous Paddy McAloon moments this is a really lovely song from a master of intelligent song writing from just last year.
