The Life I Live by Q65

“Q is for Q 65. The band formed in 1966 and was part of the Nederbeat wave happening in The Netherlands in the 60s. They released a flurry of singles in ’66: You’re the Victor, The Life I Live and I Despise You. But it was The Life I Live that seemingly appears on an endless array of psych comps of the era. There was a point in time when I went considerably overboard on buying psych comps and it seemed that The Life I Live could be found on at least half of them. The distinctive voice of the band came from Wim Bieler and when he set off for military duty that was the end of the band. (Not entirely, mind you, but for our purposes here today, that’s where I’ll stop. More info can be found here: http://www.alexgitlin.com/q65.htm)”
