Robert Van Winkle AKA "Vanilla Ice" and his handlers thought they could just borrow this song and not give any credit or money to Queen and David Bowie.The record sold over 7 million copies back in 1990 and Mr. Winkle settled with Queen and Bowie for an undisclosed amount. Ice Ice Baby was the B side of a record - the A side featured a song called Play that Funky Music - Yup he didn't get permission for that either and had to pay Wild Cherry over $500,000 US.
