Seems appropriate with the current military action...
In light of the #FergusonDecision that was inevitable, I saw this image on my Twitter feed and it made me think of Randy Newman's sarcastic view of America's foreign policy. Now, how'd I get from domestic racial strife to this song? Well, violence begets violence, and when you build a society that thinks it's okay to be violent when you deem it but not when your perceived enemies deem it, well, this permeates every facet of our society. From kids rough housing in the backyard to Barack Obama making lofty and pointless speeches while police fire tear gas at our own citizens. The problem isn't what we believe. The problem is we believe. In this case, we believe in violence. We think it's perfectly okay to threaten one another with violence and when our bluff is called, to actually use violence, cuz you wouldn't want anyone to think you're weak. Why stop there? If this is our solution to everything? It's worked SO well in the past, right? Let's drop The Big One. See what happens.

Don't let people tell you Americans have no sense of irony...
