#hippiedaze ( 9 of 10 ) (..**"Maybe that's just the PRICE YOU PAY for the CHAINS that you REFUSE"**..) ..... If you have time, listen to this songs' tale. It reminds me, in so many ways, of a girl I knew very well in the early 70s and the ending to this song is so poignant and SO-oo full of yearning that when I listen, I can feel the deep chasm of time closing in on me.
THIS JAM, from 1994, is the odd one out in my series ( which focuses on the period '67 - '74 ) but it fits in SO well that I just HAD to include it & I'm sure I would've LOVED this one back in my 'cloud-gazing' days ( as seen in avatar)..........(or was it 'cow-gazing' days? )

I asked friend Clara to make me a playlist of Folk stuff - along with Blues, the big gaping hole in my listening - and this started it. Been listening to it ever since. Extraordinarily lovely.
There were doc's on RT & Fairport on the Beeb this weekend. So heres RT#1! This is Richard sans hat.

The male narrator of this song is kind of a jerk, but it's gorgeous and his love interest is a badass.
