Lost in St. Richard's guitar mastery is the fact that the man can write a damn good song.
"Post some Richard Thompson", I thought.
It was a toss-up between 'Vincent Black Lightning 1952' and this one.
After much scientific deliberation, 'I Feel So Good' was the winner.

I've seen him play live 5 times and he never disappoints the crowd. Killer guitar player and witty songwriter.
Richard Thompson at Millennium Park tonight.
1990 - 1992 of #30thBirthdayJams. I think that I may actually know side 1 of Rumor & Sigh better than the back of my hand. My Dad played it a lot (as a big RT and Fairport fan) and I think that I was drawn to the colourful artwork as a young sprog. I very likely didn't quite follow all of the lyrics when smaller than I am today (probably a good thing when it comes to Read About Love) but it's still a potent cocktail for me. This live performance on Letterman with the Late Show's house band is a cracker too (regardless of Mr Schaffer's bum note!)
(May or may not be) Unusual subject matter about a man's first night after release from prison.
