“Ok, so a few weeks ago the good folks here at TIMJ ( @flaneur and @Han) released a data dump, two hefty chunks of raw statistical information, that got me the musicologist all excited. I'm steadily working through it all and extracting various facts and figures relating to the site. What I thought I would present here is some basics for you lovely people to look at, namely the top 10 most jammed artists (up to 26th Jan 2014), and their most jammed tracks and some figures relating to those tracks. There is much much more info to be gleaned and I am busy a-gleaning (my PhD research involves TIMJ and more broadly music listening habits on the internet) so maybe when I have a much fuller range of info I'll do another post. However, I thought some of you might find this interesting so here goes... (see comments below). :-)”
