After the success of Netflix's Daredevil series, this winter Marvel is planning on unveiling another series of videos which are going to be based loosely on a character known in the Marvel universe as Jessica Jones. Then they plan to do a show about her friend Luke Cage. I've been a fan of Luke Cage aka Power Man since I was a kid, when he wore disco shirts. Jessica is a more recently introduced character who reads kinda like a Mary Sue story gone horribly wrong. Her life intertwined with many well-known super hero characters in ways that make sense kinda inside the narrative but when put altogether some might be like, "you gotta be kidding me!" Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing these comic book characters brought to life, and this morning when I heard this song on the radio, it felt to me like a kind of anthem for these two, cuz they are an unlikely pair but when you read "Alias" the comic book, they make perfect sense together. They fill each other's negative spaces. It's sweet.
