This symphonic burst of joy is from Yale music graduate Ellis Ludwig-Leone in collaboration with different singers.

Pretty darn epic. Lampchopesque, says my friend Pootle.

It's hard to talk about when inside you're freaking out, when it's going quickly and you doubt you're anything.
San Fermin’s debut from last year is an incredible musical tapestry, and this track here is the all-out zenith of the album. Part The National, part Sufjan Stevens, it’s an orchestral build that starts out with low horns and cello and picks up bits of treble here and there until we’re chugging along with militant snare, electric guitar and melodic female chants (provided by the gals from Lucius, by the way). As far as giant orchestral bands go, I might describe San Fermin as a more experimental, chamber-esque Polyphonic Spree, better suited for the concert hall than the open sky. There is more control and deliberate construction, perhaps sacrificing some of the unbridled passion of a more collaborative endeavor, but gaining a truly captivating level of depth and craft in exchange. Every listen reveals new layers and demands to be heard in headphones.
