This is the 6th in a 10 week series of the Top 10 Vocalists of the 20th Century. These are my choices. So many greats not on the list, and no intent to exclude any. Sarah Lois Vaughan (March 27, 1924 -- April 3, 1990) was an American jazz singer, described by Scott Yanow as having "one of the most wondrous voices of the 20th century." Nicknamed "Sailor" (for her salty speech), "Sassy" and "The Divine One", Sarah Vaughan was a Grammy Award winner. The National Endowment for the Arts bestowed upon her its "highest honor in jazz", the NEA Jazz Masters Award, in 1989.
The artists are in no particular order. Just in my personal Top 10. There will be 5 male & 5 female. We shall see who of the 10 gets the most views/likes. Enjoy !! #SarahVaughan 23
