Formerly with the Champs, which included Glen Campbell...Jimmy Seals and Dash Crofts had the hit Tequila...which went to #1 in 1958. After bouncing around with different groups for most of the 60's, they found their groove in the 70's with hits such as Summer Breeze, Get Closer and this tune which peaked at #6 in the summer of 1973.

What I probably was listening to most this week...40 years ago. It was the summer before my senior year in high school, and even then I couldn't resist an honest effort to rock the mandolin.
