A symphony and a death metal band may sound like an odd combination, a combination that is strangely captivating.
I recently re-discovered Septicflesh and I can't believe I haven't been listening to them this whole time. This stuff is perfect fukken death metal, with sweeping orchestras and operatic vocals that are as brutal as guitars, drums and vocalists themselves. And it's a song about H.P. Lovecraft, an obvious bonus. Expect more of the same for a while!
