#FrenchWeek, is it? Here's some dazzling early Gainsbourg wordplay: not about the symbolism of falling leaves, sad as that may be, but about another song, "Les Feuilles Mortes". Hearing that song, "la tienne", recalls "les amours mortes". Gainsbourg even has the gall(oise) to lift the entire first line of the song by by Prévert and Kosma.
