Sadly, Sharon was diagnosed with cancer in June (on the eve of releasing her new album with The Dap-Kings which has now been postponed) but she's just started 6 months of chemotherapy after successful surgery and is hopeful of being back on stage next year. When she does return, do not miss seeing them live as they put on one of the best live shows I've ever seen.

I just read where Sharon has postponed concert dates and release of new album due to discovery of stage one bile duct cancer. Please keep this wonderful woman in your prayers.
