#WorldCupJams #Brazil2014 In honor of the "Oranje" playin Mexico today, what better than the great Mariska Veres and Shocking Blue playin Venus, since I already jammed the 1990 World Cup official song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQAzKC0hKMM here's our review of the Cup, which was held from 8 June to 8 July 1990 in Italy, the second country to host the event twice. Since it was the cup with the lowest goal-average in history, many rules were introduced to encourage a more offensive playin, like forbiddin the goalkeeper to take with his hands a pass coming from a team mate, and awarding 3 points to the winner of a match (instead of the previous two). Cameroon was the sensation of the Cup, shocking the world by defeating reining champions Argentina on the opener and by becoming the first ever African country to reach quarter finals. The final was a rematch between Argentina and West Germany, this time with the Germans winning and tyin both Brazil and Italy with 3 World Cups
