Bo12: Ok, I hereby nominate this vid for the Best Cell Phone Vid of a Live Performance of the 21st Century (So Far). This live performance of one of the fantastic cuts off their 2012 album, features the veritable raison d'etre of the group: a magnificent, muscular guitar-bass guitar juggernaut that is astonishing to watch. The bass player is 8 months pregnant. And yet she just whups the Hey-ell out of that 6-string while just 5 feet stage right her guitar-vocalist mate is doing things with his guitar--live--that I have never seen before. And they are both doing it like it is as simple and as normal as a shopping trip to the mall. An amazing performance.
Took a little while, but the album is growing on me.
There isn't a track on this album I don't adore. Their sound is so new and so retro at the same time.
Whenever I want to feel like I'm 16 again, SPs usually do the trick.
