A touch Zappa ? A smidge Ween ? A tad Primus ? Maybe....but that's no bad thing.

Don't let this become the great lost song of 2014! Album to come this year. http://anearful.blogspot.com/2015/01/best-of-rest-of-14-extended-play_15.html#.VL6HW0fF-E4

Having Field Music's amazing Brewis brothers in your band is always a very very good start, but even given that this is shockingly good. (I'm shocked anyway.) Project of Ian Black (also a sometime Field Music member). Sunderland must be the most fun musical city in the world right now...   1

SLUG is fronted by former Field Music bassist Ian Black, and this is their debut single. “Cockeyed Rabbit Wrapped In Plastic” certainly is a strange beast, but you can hear Field Music’s influence everywhere. The band is apparently working on an album, but in the meantime, download this jaunty, menacing gem for free; http://www.stereogum.com/1707227/slug-cockeyed-rabbit-wrapped-in-plastic-stereogum-premiere/mp3s/
