Wow - I mean, where to begin? Snarky Puppy are one of the most talented, inspiring Jazz/Fusion bands I've ever heard. Hailing from Texas c.2004 and comprising around 30 members on and off, "Thing of Gold" is an absolute stunner. Listen all the way through, maybe twice and you'll be hooked. I guarantee it.
And now for some superior jazz-rock. Snarky Puppy, who also played at Mostly Jazz and Funk Festival in Birmingham in July 2013, are at Number 6 in my Top 10 live gigs of 2013.
