My favourite Squeeze song (out of many great ones). Lyrics written by Chris Difford in one sitting about an ex-girlfriend of Glenn Tilbrook who had passed away. Incredibly beautiful.
One of my favourite bands, and certainly the one I've seen live most times. This song is a personal tribute by Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford to Maxine Barker, Glenn's ex-girlfriend. She persuaded him to answer the ad that Chris had placed looking for a guitarist for his new band. Sadly Maxine died of Leukemia in 1992.
