I know. Status Quo. Huh. How embarrassing! But I can tell you that they were massive in the #1970s - Big hits, sell-out venues, and songs every garage band could cover. The year that Punk really burst onto the scene was when they recorded their live album at the Glasgow Apollo. There was crazy scenes in Glasgow that night. Legend has it that this gig made the old building structurally unsound! I can believe it; I had seen for myself the way the top balcony moved when crowds were stamping their feet. All it needed was a night of Status Quo piledriving. Anyway, I wasn't there, but I did have a chat and mess about with the band at the Albany hotel & I was well impressed with them as people (& stunned by the groupies' behaviour). #Glasgow #Apollo #LiveIsBest #70s   1
