A song of contrasting winning and losing in life that just oozes that late 70's funky, jazz rock. This album is a masterpiece.
For my #LastJams, I am playing the Aja album (my avatar, my favorite album, my favorite band), one tune per weekday until August 31st. This is the third track on the record. You may also notice it is my eternal jam, so I thought about saving it until the very last jam, but I thought I would keep the continuity. In my opinion, this song shows Steely Dan's music mastery better than any other. There are 38 different guitar chords in this tune! Plus, it may be the best lyrics Fagen ever wrote.
