This is the greatest piece of music ever recorded: the arrangement, lyrics, effects, horn charts, everything.

When I was extremely young, my family had a cassette called "The World's Worst Record Show", with a cartoon of Kenny Everett on the front. It's in a box under my settee right now. We listened to it all the time, laughing at the weird and tasteless songs on it. But I always, always loved this track, and felt a bit happier when The Fall covered it a few years ago.

I first heard this on a recording of Kenny Everett's Bottom 30, and have been fascinated by it ever since.
