A riot broke out at the premiere of this groundbreaking work, later 'immortalized' in Disney's Fantasia...
Kind of a long jam this week, but hey! can you cut it? Ink still runs on the reception of this piece: why was this one so bullied? Was it all just marketing? How did Stravinsky cope with it? Retrospectively, anyway, a beautiful, powerful ballet, plentiful of kept promises from its name.
