According to the ever confusing and complex mythology around Sun Ra, he thought with lyrics like that he'd score a hit single playable on the radio. Um....no. Nonetheless, Sun Ra is a fine musician with one of the largest, most expansive recording careers. From what I have heard of it, yes, this is one of his more pop-friendly and accessible songs. So it goes.
