i didn't know Susumu Yokota's work at all until today, thanks to the abrupt phenomenon where "every related jam" to that colleen i posted was something of his, presumably because of the news of his death today, which i learned about courtesy the wonderful Naomi. i am sad it took such news for me to become familiar with him, but also enjoying discovering it. sakura is really quite good.
