They were great live. A lot of T Rex songs were about cars (Hot Rod Mama, Mustang Ford, Cadillac,.. even Metal Guru, which he had to clarify was a bout a car during an interview where the journalists were trying to figure out what the lyrics meant). He never learned to drive.
