Tab Benoit (pronounced ben-wah was born in 1967 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) and is an American blues guitarist, musician, and singer and conservation activist. His playing combines a number of blues styles, primarily Delta blues, he writes his own musical compositions. He started off playing drums that that fact shows in his rhythmic playing style. In 2003, he formed "Voice of the Wetlands," an organization promoting awareness of coastal wetlands preservation after becoming concerned at the loss of the wetlands habitat of the Mississippi Delta.”
