I tend to associate with music with where I first heard it (or paid attention to it), what I was doing, etc. Sometime this is unfortunate: I can't listen to Phantom of the Opera without vividly remembering stressing and studying for my circuits lab final sophomore year. Sometime it's wonderful: I first listened to Whiteface while driving home from Breckenridge, which has gorgeous scenery. Sometimes it's just weird: I spent spring break junior year doing a backpacker's tour of Ireland with a very random assortment of other tourists, and our driver /tour guide kept playing the new album by this random British boy band I'd never heard of, especially this song. So, despite not being the sort of music I generally enjoy, this song will always make me think of the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher and Anascaul.
Ideally, this is what I'd like the sun to be doing.
A must hear album.
