My second song since being on this website, and likely not to be the last, this has been my new obsession from The Avett Brothers. Still not my favorite song by them, but one that brings with it many feels that are hard to explain. The song, musically, sounds much more upbeat and calm than the lyrics would lead you to believe, and I think that's what is so appealing about it. "When I was young I knew most everything, these words have never meant as much to anyone, as they now mean to me."
Reading about Clarence Thomas in Jeffrey Toobin's latest book and this song came to mind.
