So addictive. That bass line and the unresolved ending is what does it for me.
"The Walrus was Paul!" Classic. Never tire of the White LP.
Lennon - McCartney. The White Album.
It is said to be Lennon's answer to those who looked for hidden meanings in their lyrics. Deliberately filled with red herrings (extraneous characters meant to divert the reader's attention from the true killer), obscure imagery and allusions to past works.
Instead of "I am the walrus", the line"the walrus was Paul" has caused controversy. Was it maybe John thanking Paul for keeping things together?

Ah, Rocktober. And what do we rock about when we rock about rocking out? In this case, being the Beatles.

My next album is "The Beatles", released 22 November 1968. Not an album I know well, and must confess I found it heavy going in parts. Revolution 9 .... why? Apart from bank holidays and weekends I have been working almost non-stop since the end of February so I could have picked "I'm So Tired" but I decided to go for this more upbeat song.
