From the Wiki, "The mind is the thing that hops about telling us to do this and do that — when what we need is to lose (forget) the mind."
George Harrison's third song on Revolver (along with "Taxman" and "Love You To").
Harrison said the song was about the"about the avalanche of thoughts that are so hard to write down or say or transmit".
"But if I seem to act unkind
It's only me, it's not my mind
That is confusing things"
George Harrison was an outstanding writer!

One of the 3 songs by George, included on the 1966, “Revolver” album. He is quoted as saying that his lyrics were, "about the avalanche of thoughts that are so hard to write down or say or transmit”. We think they maybe also reveal how frustrated Harrison was becoming within the band? “When I get near you, the games begin to drag me down. It’s alright, I’ll make you next time around”. This is another of The Fabs songs that features a “fade-in” (like Eight Days A Week), but also the “fade-out”, includes a very “Indian” style chant of “I’ve got time”, something we know George was becoming increasingly interested in.
