The ground-breaking Revolver album that this track is from, was released in the UK, 48 years ago on 5th August 1966!!!! "I'm Only Sleeping" was written by John, about sleeping in late. Lennon was known for being lazy, especially when the band weren't touring or recording. It features a backwards guitar track, which the band initially stumbled across when a technician accidentally threaded the tape incorrectly. George then spent many hours recording his 2 parts of the guitar, which were then reversed. Can you catch the yawn at 2 minutes!?
