Great cover by The Beatles of a classic which has been a bit hit for many including Chuck Berry and ELO. Some great audience participation here with the boys,looking slightly bemused.

Released in 1963 on their second UK album, "With The Beatles". All of The Beatles were great fans of Chuck Berry, who wrote this and first had a hit with it in the mid-1950's. Apparently The Fabs covered more songs written by Berry than any other writer. The song was already a main-stay of their live concerts, before they recorded it. Originally the lead vocal was taken by John, until 1961 when George took it over. This video has the remastered version, dubbed onto what looks like a TV recording - but the sound quality is great.   10
