The song was released as a single along with "Day Tripper" in 1965.
Can you imagine owning a copy of that? Do any of you own a copy of it??? Can we see it?!
Day Tripper was going to be the single but Brian Epstein, George, Ringo and Paul considered it would be a more commercial hit. They were right, it was the most requested song by record buyers. Lennon wanted it to be Day Tripper and for that reason it was market as a double A - side (first in the world).
Which one would you have released? Day Tripper or this pop gem?

On this day in 1966, The Beatles started a six week run at No.1 on the US album chart with 'Rubber Soul' the group's seventh US chart topper, which went on to spend 56 weeks on the chart. The group also started a three week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'We Can Work It Out' the group's 11th US No.1 single.
