I didn't like the beatles much when I first heard them...I was a country music loving kid...it was when the re-released the tune Got To Get You Into My Life when I finally asked my parents who these beatles guys were...I have been hooked ever since...My young ones were slow to like their music too but when it happened the tunes and #cheese were 24/7 This is the song that gets me since my love for music begins with the guitar...George asked Clapton to use 'Lucy' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucy_(guitar)) to play the solo on the tune...no Clapton tomorrow for the 'C' spot on this 36 stop journey since he is covered today #ABCsOfMe   10

Just the song to ease my weary mind.  The lyrical message here is simple - present moment awareness...:) Happy Friday!   11

"I wrote While My Guitar Gently Weeps at my mother’s house in Warrington. I was thinking about the Chinese I Ching, the Book of Changes… The Eastern concept is that whatever happens is all meant to be, and that there’s no such thing as coincidence – every little item that’s going down has a purpose. While My Guitar Gently Weeps was a simple study based on that theory. I decided to write a song based on the first thing I saw upon opening any book – as it would be a relative to that moment, at that time. I picked up a book at random, opened it, saw ‘gently weeps’, then laid the book down again and started the song." George Harrison   8
