I bought this album 20 years ago (holy crap!), in my junior year of college, on the strength of "Cannonball" and the Pixies' back catalog. At the time, I almost never spent money on music. I didn't have to; my boyfriend was a college newspaper arts editor, I was the features editor and an occasional music reviewer, and I DJed for a campus radio station (we had two at the time). Sadly, this album was a huge disappointment. I listened to the whole thing twice, then sold it because the rest of the album was crap...except for this song.
