For some reason, this song has been going through my head all day. The music of the 1980s gets a (sometimes well-deserved) bad rap; this is very much an '80s tune but still pretty great.

I'd heard this song on the radio for years and didn't know it was The Call. Michael Been - rest in peace, you are in a better place.

Interesting rock fact I just discovered today. The Call's lead singer Michael Been has a son, Robert Levon Been. The front man for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club! I never made the connection. Michael Been was heavily involved in BRMC, as their sound engineer, and toured with them before he passed in 2010. Some days you just wake up under a rock.
