This was what I intended to jam to no avail.... Marianne Faithful/Nick Cave's version of 'The Crane Wife' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CBIdd0JJ3M&list=RD02zdIppuc5up4 I've jammed 'The Rake's Song' before, but it's what I'm listening to now so it is my jam once again. Enjoy!   10

This song is extremely disturbing. A fine, fine piece of gothic wrapped up in crunchy pop rock.   1

TRULY Shocking lyrics in this song and I hope I haven't trod on @aHandfulOfRain 's toes & posted the number one of his 'most disturbing songs' theme ahead of him! The singer & songwriter Colin Meloy actually wrote this dreadful tale while his own child was still a toddler but I suppose that shows the steely-eyed focus of an imaginative & intelligent Artist at work. I think that the most chilling line in this song is the very last one..brrrrrr!... (Lyrics featured in this video) ..... A twilight Dickensian nightmare.........Sorry folks, I promise I'll post something MUCH more pleasant next time!!   42
