It's (nearly) December so time for some Decemberists......
I know the narrative structure of this album demands to be listened to in sequence, but this song is tremendous in or out of context.
Delicious melodrama tightly controlled so it can be let loose, reeled in and then loosed again. I love it.
Still the wanting comes in waves...
