“The US Open of Surfing here at Huntington Beach ended a couple of hours ago. It was a gasssss! Howevs, something was missing. I couldn't stop thinking about a memorable film from my childhood, "The Horror of Party Beach," and how the sudden appearance of an atomic monster from the ocean depths during the event would have really been something.
I am reading a cool book entitled"Monster Mash, The Creepy, Kooky Monster Craze in America 1957-1972." I never realized that I was part of a rich subculture of fan boys who, in their innocent formative years, were absolutely crazed by all things monster related. Explains a lot. I posit this theory as to why: we were the ether as anesthetic generation. That says brain damage in a big hug of a way.
